Red vapours in the northwest and across the sky, Korea, October and December 1262
Goryeosa volume 53: '三年九月己卯,赤氣見于西北。十月戊寅,赤氣橫天', Wonjong year 3: red vapour in the northwest on about 10 October 1262, and red vapour stretched across the sky on about 8 December 1262 (a leap ninth month that year shifts the second date). Too late for the 1261 to 1262 radiocarbon jump, which needs an event before mid 1262, but more evidence that the Sun was active in 1262.
