scripts/qingyang_texts.py on Mingshi juan 28. 125 hail entries; 122 with a month: 2nd 9, 3rd 13, 4th 26, 5th 26, 6th 18, 7th 12, 8th 10, 9th 5, 10th 3 (most early ones in the south). North-west (Shaanxi and Gansu places) 14 with a month, only one by the 3rd month (Hanzhong, in the south of Shaanxi). Size words: egg 12, chicken egg 11, fist 7, goose egg 5, pellet 3. 17 hail entries mention deaths, the worst over 1,000 (Panyu and Nanhai 1485, with wind and collapsed houses). Falling stones: 17 entries, about 10 mention thunder, a roar, fire or light; the short ones (about 7) do not, so the silent Qingyang entry proves nothing. It is the only shower of countless stones in the section; the rest are 1 to 3 stones.
