A white band about 3 degrees wide stretched across the night sky, Korea, 15 February 1269
Cited by Miyahara et al. 2022 from Abbott and Juhl 2016: 'a white cloud with a width of 3 degrees spread across the sky at night.' Miyahara's team pairs it with the 1268 to 1269 radiocarbon jump: a burst of particles in February 1269 would show in the 1269 ring of their conifer. This record is not in the Yau 1995 catalogue we used, which is why we earlier thought 1268 had no witnesses.
