Korea: dark fogs for days on end, winter 1452 to 1453
Annals of Danjong: 20 November 1452 '霧暗, 數步不辨人, 凡四日' (dark fog, people unrecognisable a few steps away, four days in all); 18 December 1452 '大霧, 咫尺不辨人物'; 16 January 1453 'fog, cannot tell people at arm's length; ice on the trees'; 6 February 1453 'fog; ice on the trees'. Odd, but the same kind of entry appears in December 1451, before the eruption, and only in the reigns of Munjong and Danjong, so it is a recording habit as much as weather.
