Read the Korean royal annals day by day for 1447 to 1458
Downloaded about 3,600 days of the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty in classical Chinese and counted every sky entry. The Annals of the 1450s never describe the Sun's colour and record few eclipses, so they cannot date the 1452/53 eruption. Logged the winter 1452 to 1453 dark fogs and the 16 November 1453 total eclipse as clues, with their caveats.
