Tested the Maya city shutdowns against two drought records
Extracted the last dated monument for 89 cities (Ebert et al. 2014) and compared with the Yok Balum stalagmite and the Cariaco record. The broad drier era is confirmed, but the timing of individual shutdowns does not follow dry spells, and the two climate records disagree about the final decades.
