The 'three suns' of 1561 BC fall in the same year as the 2022 Thera candidate, but only by the current text's own year count, which was built centuries later
Found and closed 26 October 2026. The match is exact (Jie 29 = 1561 BC; ice-core eruption 1561 BC, 22 Tg S). No source found that points it out. It does not hold up: (1) the line is not in the ancient-text fragments; Wang Guowei traces it to Han omen books and the Fei Chang two-suns story, none with a year; (2) the text's year count rests on a Han-era 431-year Xia total and on Zhang Shuo's Tang-dynasty planet essay ('Tang beat Jie in a renxu year'), so the year was set by later scholars; (3) by chance alone, sliding the timeline gives as many matches 23 percent of the time; (4) 'three suns' (sun dogs) is an ice-crystal halo, not a typical volcanic sign. A curiosity, not evidence.
