Furness Abbey oak, England: no clear jump at 1052 to 1053, a small rise 1054 to 1055
Scifo et al. 2024, Table 1, oak BIF-E19 from Furness Abbey, measured at Groningen. Delta-14C permil: 1049 -7.05, 1050 -5.03, 1051 -8.53, 1052 -6.24, 1053 -7.31, 1054 -6.25, 1055 -1.81, 1056 -2.77, 1057 -2.92 (errors 1.5 to 2.3). Flat through 1054, then a 4.4 permil step into 1055. No 1052 to 1053 step at all. Their 1052 value (-6.2) and Brehm's (-10.6) for the same calendar year differ by more than 4 permil, which the authors note agree only at 2 sigma. Their conclusion: rises this small cannot yet be called radiation events.
